DESIGN PROJECT
EARTHY DESERT DWELLINGS
For this beautiful, modernist home, our designers, Kristen Hancock & Maddie Cullen took all furniture and decor cues from the home's architecture. We kept the materials copacetic with the home's aesthetic and the hardscape materials, so that it flowed naturally with the architectural elements.
This meant that furnishings with light wood finishes to match the walls, varying tones and incorporating textures such as leather to create more visual interest in the relatively minimalist rooms.
The Living Room
Our key design concept in this space was to take advantage of the double-height volume while still having a cozy, inviting feel in this room. Our designers incorporated geometric prints and sculptural objects when adding decor to add a personal touch to this room. The owner, a seasoned traveler, wanted to keep the space interesting while also incorporating collection of African pottery. The rug used in this family room has subtle abstract shapes to mimic the form of his pottery.
THE GUEST BEDROOM
In the guest bedroom, our designers utilized a geometric wallpaper and a boucle headboard to add subtle textures and patterns to this minimalist room.
THE MASTER BEDROOM
Differing from the guest bedroom, our designers used solid, white when crafting this master bedroom. We wanted to keep things as serene as possible for this client with this white bed frame and walls.
THE BATHROOMS
We used organic elements in the bathrooms to maintain the clean, earthy look throughout this minimalist home.
